I don't know, maybe just getting in front of the sewing machine and working will help me push through the funk I'm in. We'll see.
I did pick up a book at Barnes & Noble last night. Paid full price for it can you believe it? It's really lots of fun. I like the information in it more than the projects, which are really cute.
If you sew at all - ESPECIALLY if you're a beginner (Stephanie) you should get this book. It's fun and inspired. It's written how I work - knowing what to do and then saying "What if?" or "So what!" to get the results you want.
Here's to a less "FUNK" filled weekend!

Sometimes a change of venue (or craft in this case) is needed. don't worry about the crafting. Start reading a book or just veg in front of the tv.. It will come back

Sometimes I need to walk away from my needles and smell the roses. It doesn't take long for something random to inspire me if I just take the time to relax and observe.
Thanks for the thumbs up on the book. I was thinking about buying it for my daughter (a beginner) and you clinched it.

ok you sold it to me - I've ordered it off Amazon. Now to check that my sewing machine is in working condition after I um broken it the second time I used it!
I've got mine on order from Amazon too. I hate waiting for it and finding out other already have it. I want mine now !!!!
Glad to hear it's a great book and good for beginners. Although I am not a beginner I like quick and easy projects.
