Whilst traveling by car with the family some people count blue cars or license plates from various states; not us.
No, I'm proud to say that while our family was driving to and from Dauphin Island, AL for the first week of May we counted not blue cars (or any other color for that matter), not license plates, but...
Wait for it.
Dead armadillos.
Yep - that's just how sick and twisted we were. Now for those of you out there who are equally sick and twisted:
15 on the way there and 51 (YES - 51) on the way home (plus 5 turtles and a coyote).
There you have it and now you know - aren't you glad?
I'll keep you posted!

I usually count the number of deer, alive or dead, on the side of the road. I also tend to stare at the angle at which the trees are still leaning, all these years after Ivan! Nature is amazing...
oh, and once you get there, you can count the lovebugs smashed on the grill of your car and on your windshield!
Ha! We don't count them just try and guess what the carnage is! :) For our part, M gets a map of the US and gets to colour each state plate she sees - it passes the time.
M says thank you for the froggies!
And it was fun meeting you!
