I think I got that 5% Yankee because I say "Rotary" instead of Round about or something else. Oh well - I'd never experienced on until we were in BOSTON so I guess that's ok. I think otherwise it's right on the money. I'm born and raised a southern girl, but my mother was a speech pathologist so that 'corrected' for much of my southern dialect. Now the southern rythym to my speech - well some things shouldn't be tampered with.

Ha!! I caught that bad grammar in the title! I used to love to study grammar... talk about a geek!!! It's fun to see what people are ranked on this because we can't hear anyone speak! I lived in South Carolina when I was five so I picked up a little southern twang occasionally... and I grew up across the river from "KIN-tuk-ee"!! But I'm mainly midwestern. With a little MinnesOta in me that I have no idea where THAT came from!!!!
